Gezinsavonturen is a Dutch family account on TikTok that helps families discover family-friendly outings. We started the account because we found it hard to find good outings with our kids. Our videos get a lot of engagement, but people kept asking the same questions—about prices, facilities, and practical details—even when we already answered them in the video or description. That’s why we built an app: so people can explore outings themselves, filter by age, budget, and preferences, and find answers without asking. Our TikTok videos lead people to the app, and the app promotes our videos, so both support each other. We’re convinced that an app makes it easier for families to find suitable outings because they can search and filter in a more personal way, instead of scrolling through comments for information.
