AP2 + Mollie: The Agent Handles the Payment We built the first working integration of Google's Agent-to-Agent Payment Protocol (AP2) with a Payment Service Provider. Our AI checkout agent eliminates the traditional checkout flow entirely — no forms, no redirects, no friction. How it works: A customer visits any Mollie merchant's webshop and interacts with the checkout agent. On their first purchase, the customer approves the payment once. After that, every follow-up purchase is fully automatic — the agent detects intent, selects products, and processes payment through Mollie without any human interaction. Key innovations: - One-time approval, then fully automatic — the agent pays on behalf of the customer using AP2's cryptographic mandate chain (JWT-signed) - Conversational upsell — the agent suggests relevant add-ons, increasing order value for merchants - Works for any Mollie merchant — one script tag to install, compatible with Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom webshops - Provider-agnostic AI — supports Claude, GPT-4, and Gemini with a single config switch - Kill switch — instant cancellation by merchant or customer at any time Why Mollie should care: Every abandoned cart recovered by the agent is an additional Mollie transaction. With 70% cart abandonment rates and 60,000+ merchants on the platform, this represents a significant new revenue stream. The checkout agent turns Mollie from a payment processor into the infrastructure layer for agent commerce.

Across the Netherlands, most adults believe volunteering is important, yet only 40% of adults volunteer annually, and monthly volunteers are even fewer in number. This gap between intent to volunteer and action is not an opportunity shortage. Amsterdam alone has tens of thousands of volunteer listings. The real barrier is activation and retention. People care, but they lack a simple, repeatable pathway to show up consistently. We are building a platform to make local volunteering addictive by reducing friction between volunteers and local organizations while designing for repeat participation from day one. By applying proven engagement systems such as streaks, social accountability, and lightweight commitments, we aim to turn volunteering from a one-off act into a recurring habit. Like Duolingo for language learning or Strava for running, volunteering deserves the same level of intentional habit design. Indeed, the tools and design already exist. It is time to apply them to local community impact. Please note: The road to revenue readiness lies in 3 key streams: a) selling the platform directly to non-profits as their Volunteer Management System, b) encouraging donations (of which a portion is allocated to maintaining the platform and c) charging a fee for volunteers that do not show up (similar to ClassPass)
